Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect what we need to ship you things and send you the dispatch if you asked for it. We don't sell your information. Ever.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email, shipping address, phone number (for delivery issues), and the items you bought. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — your card details go to Stripe, not to us, and we never see or store your full card number.

When you join the dispatch: your email address and when you signed up.

Automatically: basic analytics about how the site is used (pages viewed, device type), if analytics are enabled. Nothing here identifies you personally to us.

How we use it

To process, ship, and support your orders; to email you order confirmations and tracking; to send the dispatch to people who signed up for it; and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. That's the list.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the store work: Stripe (payments), our database/hosting providers (order and subscriber records), our email provider (sending the dispatch and order emails), and shipping carriers (getting the box to your door). Each gets only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Email choices

Every dispatch has an unsubscribe link, and it works. Unsubscribing from the dispatch doesn't affect order emails — you'll still get receipts and tracking for things you buy.

Your data, your call

Want to know what we have on you, or want it deleted? Email hello@theblackob.com and we'll handle it. California residents: this is your CCPA request line too — same address, no forms, no runaround.

Cookies & local storage

The site uses local storage for practical things: keeping your cart between visits and remembering that you've already seen the email sign-up so it doesn't nag you. Analytics tools, if enabled, set their own cookies per their policies.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top. We won't quietly get worse.
